Ride to Buckeye Lake Recap 03072010

So we headed out east from the east side. We had three choices, the Ridge Runner, Dawe's Arboretum, or Buckeye Lake. We decided to go to Buckeye Lake against Brett's wishes. His heart was set on Dawe's, but I didn't want to go out to a park full of non blooming plants. A few weeks from now and we will hit up Dawe's.

So we wound our way through the countryside crossing both Broad and Main and skirted Pataskala. Then we headed out east on Palmer and hit 37 down to the lake. We did the reverse route back.

Some highlights were the goat perched up on the dog house and the squirrel that darted out in front of us. We stopped at Weldon's in Millersport for ice cream. I had a scoop of strawberry and we listened to some music from their really old juke box that sports 45's including Hillbilly music. On the way out of town we stopped at the park on Lieb's Island. Mid to upper 40's for most of the day. 52.5 miles and averaged 15.2mph. Great day in the sun with some good friends.
