Columbus EMS was called to the intersection of North Hamilton Road and Sawyer Road on a report of a pedestrian struck at about 5:20 a.m.
EMS personnel found a man in his 50's who had been hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle.
The man was taken to Grant Medical Center as a level 1 trauma.
Police tell NBC4 that the bicyclist was riding in the middle of the northbound lanes of North Hamilton Road when he was hit by the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and was being interviewed by police.
Northbound North Hamilton Road has reopened to motorists at Sawyer Road.
