COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 29-year-old mother of five was being remembered Saturday for her smile and laughter, hours after she was struck by a car while riding a bicycle.
Kristina Godinez was knocked off the bicycle and two vehicles then drove over her, 10TV News reported.
Godinez was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital where she died early Saturday morning.
According to police, Godinez was riding along Morse Road, just west of Beech Hill Avenue, in Clintonville, when she was struck by a car driven by Malcolm Jackson.
"I heard a thump," Jackson said.  "As soon as I saw I hit someone or something, I immediately stopped."
Jackson said that he then tried to help Godinez but other cars failed to slow down.
