Single Speed Cross-Check: An Old Friend Revisited [Surly]

So, you want a Cross-Check but you have no need for all those annoying gears or drop bars? You don’t really want to buy a frame and build it up from scratch because you just don’t have the time, it costs too much, or you’re just a lazy bastard (I totally understand). Well hallelujah, praise Jeebus and pass the ammunition. We're planning to offer a Single Speed Cross-Check that we think you’re going to dig. Starting with the tried and true Cross-Check frame and fork we swapped out the drop bars with a Salsa Moto-Ace mountain bar, added some Avid brake levers and got rid of all those gears - all because we love you.

Not the best picture, but you get the idea. And yes, that is the color and no,
I don't know what's going on in the background.

Here’s the complete build list:

We'll do a complete size run on these from 42cm all the way to a 62cm bike (a 64cm is not in the picture right now.) Lots of black parts here, including black decals because we're into that sort of thing. You want to put some racks and fenders on this gal? Knock yourself out. We’re confident you can handle this on your own. If not I’m sure the folks down at your LBS will be more than happy to lend a hand.

Now you’re probably wondering when you can get your mitts on one of these fine steeds, right? I've been told by our one-and-only Oracle that these will be available for sale in late September, early October of 2012 (yes, I said 2012). Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
