(Columbus) Best Mode of Transportation of 2010 - Biking [via Columbus Underground]

Biking soared to the top of our list in the category of “Best Mode of Transportation” in 2010, which could be attributed to the progress made this year on biking infrastructure. The first “sharrow” was painted on High Street back in May and hundreds of others have followed since then. Input was gathered on placements for new bike parking facilities. Several bike businesses grew in 2010 with new locations and bigger stores. And events like Pelotonia, Bike to Work Week, Bike the C-Bus and the Bike Columbus Festival took biking even further into the public eye this past year.
