"Bicycle Dreams" Submission - Rob H.

Since Ive only been biking for less than year now, I dont have many experiences. I had 2 bad knees, was 75 pounds overweight and a smoker when I started, My first ride was about a mile and I thought I was going to die. My hardest so far was the Tuesday Night Ride where I was riding a hybrid with a broken front shifter and pulling my 5 year old giant in a trailer (I had never tried this before that night). I was still 50 pounds overweight, pulling a trailer and a child that total another 50 pounds at least and I couldnt shift gears low enough on the hills. I had bitten off more than I could chew and my knees and muscles paid for it for a few days. At least I got good tacos out of it.

hey rob, I just wanted to tell you that you're awesome. I'm Joshua H and I'm an overweight smoker who just won't quit. If there's anything that matters more than everything, then it's the heart. If you got it up, keep it up. I know that sounds vague but kudos to keeping in the saddle and continuing to push. That's awesome.
