Grove City bike trail completed just in time for spring [Columbus Local News]

While the hassle of orange cones, closures and delays continues throughout Central Ohio, there is some traffic relief on the horizon for Grove City residents.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place for the newly constructed White Road at 10:30 a.m. April 13 at the overpass at Interstate 71.

A new bike trail was constructed alongside White Road, which runs between Hoover Road and state Route 104.

"The bike trail's on the side of the road and not part of the roadway as some people have thought," said Mayor Richard "Ike" Stage at the March 19 City Council meeting.

The speed limit will be 35 on White Road.

Greg Payne, administrator for the Franklin County Engineer's Office, said the Alkire Road bridge widening project across Big Darby and Little Darby creeks west of Gardner Road is part of the Metro Parks bike-pedestrian trail.
