Public Information Meeting to be Held 

Concerning the Camp Chase Trail Project -Hall Road to Sullivant Avenue
Metro Parks (Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks) and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) invite interested citizens to attend a public meeting concerning the extension of the Camp Chase Trail bikeway along the Camp Chase Railroad from Hall Road to Sullivant Avenue on the southwest side of Columbus. The public meeting will be held on December 18, 2012 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Westgate Community Center, 455 S. Westgate Ave., Columbus, Ohio, 43204.

The purpose of the Camp Chase Trail Project is to provide a multi-use trail that connects the Camp Chase Trail Segment of Ohio to Erie Trail from Hall Road to the City of Columbus’s Bicentennial Bike Plan’s on-road trail at Sullivant Avenue. The project will provide a system to encourage and maximize recreational opportunities, provide for alternative modes of transportation and for enhanced employment and economic opportunities of local residents and businesses.
The open-house format will provide the public the opportunity to obtain information and provide comments anytime during the scheduled hours for the meeting. No formal presentations will be given. Meeting attendees are encouraged to provide comments regarding the project including any social, economic and environmental impacts or concerns.
All persons interested in commenting or learning more about this project are encouraged to attend the meeting.  Written comments or concerns regarding this project may be submitted to Mr. Steven C. Brown, Metro Parks, 1069 West Main Street, Westerville, Ohio by January 15, 2013.
