FOR SALE: 2009 Surly Long Haul Trucker

Another bike for sale from Dylan. I need to sell my 2009 Surly Long Haul Trucker, and hoping to sell it as a complete bike. Here's the build details:

Frame/Fork:
- purchased new in 2009 (May), 50cm, professionally blasted & powder coated by Streetwerkz (CMH)
- color: metallic dark gray
- treated thoroughly with FrameSaver before being built
- condition: Good. Just a few knicks here and there from normal wear, but very well-cared for and always stored indoors when not being ridden

Wheelset:
- built by Peter White in summer 2009 (excellent condition)
- Front Hub/Wheel: Schmidt SON28 dynohub (black), laced to a 36-hole Mavic EX721 rim (black) with Wheelsmith DB 14-guage spokes (all black).
- Rear Hub/Wheel: Shimano XT hub (black) laced to a 36-hole Mavic EX721 rim (black) with Wheelsmith DB 14-guage spokes (all black). Shimano 9-speed cassette

Drivetrain:
Surly Mr. Whirly crankset (triple), with Salsa chainrings (all 3); XT front & rear derailluers; Shimano 9-speed chain (all in good condition—approximately 1000 miles on this drivetrain)

Other Parts:
Schmidt Edelux headlight mounted to the Modolo handlebar with an R&M mount from Peter White (excellent condition)
- Integrated taillight that connects with the Edelux and attaches to rear rack—both the Edelux and taillight are powered from the SON28 front dynohub. Beautiful battery-free lighting system that's had very little 'on' time.
Surly Nice Racks (front and rear) (good condition—minor cosmetic blemishes)
Thomson Elite seatpost and Thomson stem (excellent condition)
King headset (excellent condition)
- Modolo Yuma Trekking butterfly handlebar (excellent condition)
Paul Love Levers (brake levers) (excellent condition)
- Shimano bar-end shifters mounted to Paul Thumbies (excellent condition)
- Tektro brakes front and rear (same as Surly stock version but in black) (good condition—about 500 miles of wear on these pads)

Not included: pedals, saddle, and tank bag (it's been sold. See picture link below for reference).

This photo accurately represents the current build of the bike. As mentioned, that tank bag behind the stem has been sold, but I'd be glad to throw in that Arkel seat bag you see there. It's had some use, but it's still useful!

PRICE: $1550 for the above bicycle (minus pedals, saddle and tank bag), shipped to you in the continental United States. Pickup in Circleville, OH (just south of Columbus by 40 minutes). Contact Dylan: dylan1@me.com.

She weighs about 36 pounds with the Surly racks installed (about 30~31 without 'em), so not the lightest touring bike you can build. But 'bulletproof' with quality parts and very smooth to ride (I can go hands-free on it for a very long distance). The wheelset built by Peter White is his recommendation for heavy duty touring.
